Due to our increased business, all Adult and Girl Scout Workshops are on hold. Follow us on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/holmanpottery for an announcement when workshops resume.
Adult Workshops
We offer one night workshops for adults in pottery throwing.
Each adult will complete at least 3 projects on the potter’s wheel. Your pottery will be available for pickup approximately 2 – 3 weeks after the class. This class is appropriate for the beginner or the advanced student. Master Pottery, Tony Holman, teaches to your skill level.
Cost: $70 per participant with a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 10 people. (You have to find the other 5 people!)
You may provide your own snack and drinks (including wine and beer).
Please see our booking calendar below for availability. Your booking will be confirmed after paying a $70 non-refundable deposit. All Adult workshops begin at 6 p.m.
Girl Scout Workshops
We offer workshops for Girl Scout Troops with a minimum of 6 girls. This also includes a “tour” of our Gallery area. Therefore, it is NOT suggested for pre-school siblings to attend. In addition, parking is LIMITED at our location. You must carpool – no individual girl drop-off or pickups. Due to the fact that our space is limited in the studio, only Girl Scout established Safety-Wise adult-to-girl ratios please! Girl Scout workshops are available ONLY on Tuesdays at 6pm, Wednesdays at 4pm, or Saturdays at 9am. Please see our booking calendar below for availability. Your booking will be confirmed after paying a $25 non-refundable deposit. For questions, please email us at info@holmanpottery.com.
Please see below for details regarding the various Program Grade Levels.
Debbie is a Lifetime Member of the Girl Scouts. She is a Council Trainer, Chair of several adult committees, and a National Volunteer. Tony is also an adult member of the Girl Scouts.
How do the girls prepare for the workshop?
It is suggested that you not wear your Girl Scout Uniform, Vest or Sash! Clay does wash out of clothes but does mom really want to wash that vest? Rings and bracelets should not be worn. Anyone with long hair should have their hair pulled back in a pony tail.
Food, drink and gum are not permitted.
Daisy
Sorry, no program is available for Daisy’s.
Brownie
Your Brownie Girl Scouts will love this! They will earn all the requirements or their Brownie Potter Badge as they visit a “real” pottery studio and gallery, learn about clay and pottery, watch a demonstration by a Master Potter, and make two hand-built project. These projects will be fired and glazed by Holman Pottery and will be available to return to the leader approximately 3 weeks after the event.
The fee is $12 per person with a minimum of 6 people. (Adults may participate at $25 per person, if space allows.) A $25 deposit is required once a date is set. This deposit will go towards your balance. The workshop takes approximately 1 1/2 – 2 hours.

These two projects for each girl will be fired and glazed by Holman Pottery and will be available to return to the leader approximately 3 weeks after the event.
